~My November Exercise Plan~

October was a fabulous month for me!! I quite literally worked my ass off between Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred and the C25K program. I did take a few days rest due to working late and a migraine but overall I rocked it!

So for November I decided to take it up a notch and start Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30! My plan is to workout with the RI30 at least 5 times per week (shooting for daily tho) and the C25K program 3-4 days per week! I also started Weight Watchers Online about a month ago and I plan to continue on with that program. I have seen great results so far.

What I have learned so far from my weight loss journey:

1. I need exercise like some people need medication. It's therapeutic.
2. I feel best when I workout daily. Skipping a day makes me feel guilty AND grumpy.
3. It's not a diet. It's a having a healthy lifestyle.
4. Drink water and drink a lot of it.
5. Think happy thoughts and smile at yourself in the mirror. You are beautiful.

NSV

I have to share my NSV from this weekend but before I do let me preface with my story. I am a happily married mother of 3 boys (ages 13, 10, and 9 months). Since having sweet boy #3 in January I have had a very difficult losing weight and being motivated to workout. I have literally been wearing the same 2 pairs of pants for months (mainly because I refuse to purchase a bigger size) and as far as shirts, ugh, I was still wearing my maternity shirts (boo). On September 14th (yes I know the exact date) I seriously started working my a$$ off. Like 2 times a day most days with only about 5 days of "rest". I recently completed the 30DS and am on week 6 of C25K. I started noticing results like 2-3 weeks in but nothing major. I mainly felt stronger and my jeans were a little more comfortable. Recently I've been told by a few different people (other than my hubs) that I "look" like I've lost weight (which I have but I didn't realize it was enough for others to notice). So today I decided to try on a pair of my old jeans just to see how much further I had to go to get back into my size 8 pre baby #3 jeans. Now these jeans I tried were not an 8 but a small size 10. I could not believe it when I put them on and they zipped up comfortably...whoa...they fit?!! <Insert me jumping up and down, high fiving my hubs!!> This group has been a large source of my motivation. I'm very grateful to be a part of ML Fit Camp! XOXO ♥ Remember ladies to Just.Keep.Going!

Measurements for this week:
Waist = 34.5

Wednesday Weigh-in (10/10/2012)

What a great weigh-in today!! I am down 2lbs from last Wednesday's weigh-in!! Finally!! I can see a difference and the scale is finally reflecting a difference!! I am so happy that I didn't get discouraged and quit.

I am determined to achieve my pre-pregnancy weight.

Measurements for this week:

Waist = 35.5
Hips = 42

Down 1/2 inch in the waist...I'll take it!!

Next week starts the ML Fit Camp Challenge which I am totally stoked for!! Can't wait to work with my team!!

Thank goodness for a fabulous Wednesday weigh-in!!

Wednesday Weigh-in (10/03/2012)

Not happy with the scale this morning. It reflects a 1.4 lb gain. Yes I know that muscle weighs more than fat but it still sux ass that the scale won't tip in my favor. I have been working hard and eating well.

On the bright side I have had some NSVs this week to include my measurements:

Waist = 36
Hips= 42

(Both reflecting a loss)

I just want to see the 160s soon. Please?!

I wish there wasn't so much emphasis put on how much you weigh...then maybe the NSVs would keep me from being down!

Baby Intervention

As I was getting ready for work this morning, I was mean muggin' the scale thinking about tomorrow morning's weigh in. I have had several NSV like my clothing fitting better and going in 2 notches on my belt, but I just can't quite master the scale...While I was off in what I like to call post workout (yes I did my JM workout first thing) "lala land" mode my sweet baby Caleb crawled over to the scale and puked all over it!! I'm not talking a little spit up, I'm talking major puke fest that had to be cleaned up with a towel and bleach wipes!! "Bam...take that! And quit harrassing my mama" is what I picture Caleb saying to the scale in my mind....Made my whole damn day!!

10/1/2012

Making healthy choices everyday is tough, but I'm getting better at it....

This weekend was a fabulous weekend overall. I managed to stay on target with eating healthy and working out. I even went to Dairy Queen and ordered a much healthier choice then normal. Don't get me wrong, I wanted the large Reese's Blizzard for 900+ calories, but I had a SMALL banana sundea for 230 calories!! Very proud moment. I also started week 2 day 1 of C25K yesterday. I felt like my muscles were on fire but, overall a fantastic workout.

~Today starts the 31 day Jillian Michaels challenge~

Overall, I am on day 16 of the 30 Day Shred (day 6 at level 2)!! I will finish my first 30 days on October 15th but plan to continue to alternate the Shred daily along with other daily workouts alternating between JM and C25K. I cannot wait to see my results at the end of October.

My hubs and I were talking about the difference between losing weight and exercising last night. He didn't seem to understand the difference. This should about sum it up....

I don't just want to look good in clothes. I want to look good Naked!!
