New Year = New Plan & New Goals 2013

January 1, 2013 was my decided date to begin a new plan to help me reach my goal weight. I decided after much research that I was going to start the South Beach Diet. My husband's doctore had recommended it to improve his good cholesterol and after checking into it I felt it was a good fit for our family. Our decided day to begin was January 1st so that the holiday season would be over. I was worried that I had gained significantly over Christmas and New Years but thankfully I maintained very well. I weighed in at 160.0 lbs.

Yesterday for breakfast I made the most delicious South Beach Egg cassaroleish meal. I got the recipe from Kalyan's Kitchen (a great site for anything South Beach). I did substitute the green peppers for onions and I made my cassarole in cupcake foils. Overall it was a BIG hit with my husband and sons. After getting all the Christmas decorations down I got my workout on. Jillian Michaels Kickbox Fast Fix and a 2 mile run!! On Runkeeper I started a 10K program to help me work to completing my 1st 10K. Day 1 was a success overall and I am proud that my family is on board with this plan.




 


Today for lunch I made tuna and tomato lettuce wraps and ate left over black eye peas. Yum and Yum.
